[PC] Dead Space Remake Crashing at Launch

Hi, same issue as OP here, tried everything you two listed in the thread plus so many FAQs, can't get the game to launch. Medium black box appears in left corner, Dead Space.exe in task manager, then Dead Space.exe(4), then it all goes away without an error message or anything. Only difference is, I can't launch it through the EA app (only by Steam) because DS1 and DS2 aren't listed in there, in my account, even though the 3rd is displayed normally with my other EA games. They were all bought on Steam. Attaching a dxdiag.

@MonsieurHebert To clarify, you can launch it fine through Steam, but if you launch it through the EA app it does not work at all?

I would run through the following and see if these help first.

Uninstall the EA app and the game

Run a registry cleaner

Run the System File Checker tool - Repair Windows and your HDD/SSD

Delete Windows Temp Files

• First, make sure you close as many programs as you can
• Press the Windows key + R, go into the file explorer
• Type in %temp%, and hit Enter
• Delete everything it allows you to delete
• Reboot the PC

You want to clean out the PC completely of the EA app and DS files

Once everything is repaired, cleaned, and updated, reinstall the EA app to your preferred drive

Install the game to the same drive

Launch and test

No, whether Steam or EA Play it doesn't work.

@MonsieurHebert Are you playing through EA Play, or are you downloading and playing a copy that you own?

On Steam I owned it, then EA Play.

I have taken the requested steps, and am now getting a different error but the app still closes immediately. Any other ideas?

Please send this information to developers, using symbols they should be able to localize the issue.

@clisparion Thanks. I notated the logs. I took a look at the file and these are the suggestions I would make to see if they help with this one.

• Check for Windows and GPU updates 
• Default your game to the high-performance GPU, AMD Settings | Nvidia Settings | Windows Settings
• Guide for Troubleshooting Graphics issues
• Install/Repair your VC++ files for the game (Microsoft VC++ Link)

The error report shows mostly Windows errors, so I would go through and repair and update as much as you can. Some of the errors can effect the game but the dumps may be more impactful than the Windows errors.

There is a window that opens at launch then closes immediately after, then the EA App opens, the same way the OP described it.

I have reinstalled EA App, the game several times, still the issue is there. The game is installed on SSD.

My apologies for the delay, yes I am still getting the same error when trying to play on my desktop PC. I think I am going to let it go as I don't have much time for troubleshooting and will just play it on my laptop. Thank you. I am interested to see the fix for some of the others who are facing the same issue. 

@Alien_Skull No worries at all. I get it. Game time is limited and you don't always have a lot of time to troubleshoot a game when you could just be playing it.
