I was thinking about that myself. I'll test it out and post a reply on that. However if that's the case that's a very bad oversight and should be fixed soon, since Co-op is basically encouraged in this game but it turns out ruining your single player file.

I just did it and they used it as soon as they got it so I guess they didn't already have it and I didn't get a new one. Well until they figure out how to fix it I know you can find more through the game.
