Re: dead space 3 continue story never works goes back to beginning of chapter or auto save why?

I have this same issue. I even wait untill the saveing progress message comes up. pissed me off to jump back into the game and see how far back it put me. but of course did not give me back any of my items that had been used up.

found a very easy solution which just worked for me. I am running windows 8 pro,
1. I started the game from the desktop shortcut (may not matter)
2. I continued the story
3. I solo'ed campaign
4. I then SELECTED BY CHAPTER WHICH LIST EVERY CHAPTER COMPLETED ALONG WITH SUB MISSIONS. I MEARLY CLICKED WHERE I LEFT OFF
AIR DOCK AFTER RIDING TO SHUTTLE BAY IN THE AFT SECTION...PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD

@sgtsteve622 Thanks! Last Save was starting me outside the building with 3 necros attacking. Using chapter, I was able to start right outside the supply depot that I was in when the game crashed. Thank you, thank you!
