Unable To Change Control Settings In Game

How is it possible for this to still be an issue? I subscribed to EA Play and downloaded the game and it looks like it's setup to default to a controller. I try to use my Mouse & Keyboard to navigate the menus but the only keys that work are the arrow keys and the enter key. The space bar also works like the enter key. Other than that nothing else works. I tried turning on my Xbox controller but that doesn't work either. Like I said, I'm playing the game directly through the EA Desktop app but while I have it installed on an SSD it's a different SSD than the EA Desktop app is installed on but I'm not sure if that would make a difference.
