What weapon stats exceeds the 100% listed?

I've notived that after reaching 100% clip stats, you can keep adding clip circuits/MKV parts and it will increase the weapon magazine over the top listed.
So I was wondering if I can do the same with damage as well, but it's hard to find a weapon that makes this change noticeable since usually only a few more points can be added after reaching 100%. The clip is visually noticeable, but it's harder to test damage without knowing monsters status such as HP and armor, not to mention that hitting different body parts results in distinct damage.

Anyone have safely tested this out? What about fire rate and reload? Is there a cap to any of those?

  • You are right - there are no stats that can proof that.

But as far as I figured out other stats like firerate and damge also exceed the 100% mark in effectiveness. Mass Effect 3 has the same behaviour.

I primarily use the teslacore with diffraction-mod... a powerful weapon. With all the +3 damage mods (more than 100% stat) I one shot nearly every enemy in the highest difficulty. If I drop them down to +2 (still 100% stats) I often have to place a second shot at some enemys.

And even if you use a weapon with high firerate (military core + rail mod) and insert +3 mods for firerate over the 100% stat, the weapons seem to empty the clip more faster than before.

Thats y I say "yes" to all of the stats.

I'm on my fisrt run with tesla + diffraction as well (what a weapon!), and my main concern was about the "damage reduction" as enhanced necromorphs started showing up. So if I place more damage circuits, I guess a can even the scales. My aim is also killing mostly mobs in 1-2 shot (like it does in early game), since this weapon is great for crowd control. That's why my Line Gun looks ridiculous in late game as well - cause I haven't added enough circuits due to the weapon graphic stats in the bench. I'll surelly try it out. Maybe it can fix my detonator as well: in DS2 it can kill mostly necros, even enhanced, without upgrades (need well placed shot) in ONE shot. In DS3, with the graphic at 100% plus acid bath, it won't kill the weakest slasher. I thought the weapon was definitely broken - in the bad way - now I'll give it one more try.
The weapon at the top of the diffraction tesla is the precision tesla: it works much like the contact beam and it's purpose is to focus a strong foe, while the other does the crowd control. When those necros with Scaf armors started appearing (Impossible difficult) I was like shooting them 3-4 times with the precision tip. So the weapon lost it's purpose. Ill try adding more damage to fix it.

A shame that this bad graphic design nerfed my weapons so much on previous games. I'd rather integer numbers like in DS1 & 2 . It's even hard to tell which weapon is stronger than other cause 50% damage of a graphic is not the same value as 50% of other weapon. This stats are completely useless... (facepalm)

Going to Hardcore after this run.

    Thanks for the feedback.
