It almost seems that way. ☹️
Without specific info the only way forward is to eliminate error sources.
- Press the Windows key and "X" at the same time.
- Choose "PowerShell" (Adminisrator)" or "Command prompt (Administrator)"
- Inside the "PowerShell" or "CMD" window, at the prompt, type or copy and paste "sfc /scannow" (Without the quotes) > ENTER.
- Post the concluding message.
The translated conclusion looks like:
"Protecting of windows system resources function didn't find any integral leaks"

Done, check if you got it
i uploaded it to where you gave me link to, but since i am doing it first time not sure if i did it correctly, i dropped it where your other files are
- holger14057 years agoHero+
Sorry, wrong link:
You should be able to upload the dump with the "upload" button in the header.
Done
You got it?
- holger14057 years agoHero+
Yes I did.
The problem in this dump is a Video driver timeout. (The driver stopped to response)
One dump is not enough to determine if this is the only problem or if this is only a driver problem because a driver timeout can have multiple triggers.
But it is a starting point:
Lets clean install the driver:
Download the newest driver for your GPU from NVIDIA.
Download DDU:
Install the graphic driver this way:
• go offline.
• run DDU > save mode (Windows will restart into save mode) > Choose "NVIDIA Software and Drivers" > Clean and Restart.
• shut down any not necessary programs in the background including the real time scanner of your anti-virus software.
• shut down any and all system monitoring programs and any overlooking tools you might have.• Run the installation EXE of the NVIDIA driver > custom installation > install only the GPU Driver and the PHYSX software.
• Reboot > Test.

When you say go offline you mean one of the following?:
turn off my net connection
start nvidia in offline mode
restart computer and enter Bios
I don't know how to start DDU in safe mode, and how to go offiline, sorry you need to specife
- 7 years ago
Btw. i checked msionfo32 one more time, and this time there was again error with EventType=CLR20r3, when launching DAI

This. Pull the plug or disable the WLAN adapter.

(There is also a user guide if you follow the link) - 7 years ago
But when i am after cleaning of drivers with DDU and restart, am i still in safe mode? Should i still be without net connection? Because i can't find anywhere this nvidia EXE, can't start custom install, and if i want to install drivers i need net connection

Okey i realised how to do it, followed your instructions in full, launched the game and..... it was a record of uptime, now instead of 4 seconds before returning to desktop, it was 10 seconds ...
I reminded myself what solved the problem last time and i have 2 ideeas,
I. first inculde that problem isn't just as complex and considers launching options, like for some reason dragon age inquisition wont launch with specified parametres and display and graphic settings which are set automaticly by origin after game repair, reinstall cache clean etc. like game launching in fullscreen windowed mode, windowed, resolution etc, since changing this option is possible normally only in game, please tell me where will i find DAI configuration file with acces to note, where i can play with numbers a little, test different settings and see if it will work.
II. Mod manager is a program which put mods into your game by creating merged patch, it makes a copy of your patch and modds innit, if i remember correctly mod manager worked great untill one of the DAI patches wasn't relased, like i said in one of the previous messages, msinfo32 still acts like modmanager is still on my computer, so maybe it's worth trying to manually install game on one of the previous patches, remove the newest something like that, if you know how to do it would help if you will give me some information about it
- holger14057 years agoHero+
About the first:
It is in the "Save" folder and@Fred_vdp and I already (post 21) asked you to move this folder.
That would force DAI to create a default version for the settings files.
So, this shouldn't be the problem.
About the second:
There shouldn't be any traces of the mode left after you repaired the game, deleted the mod folder and moved the "Save" folder.
Or in other words, this shouldn't be the problem either.
Do you play any other games?
Create a new Windows user account (Administrator) don't use local special characters for the user name, use only characters from the ASCII table.
Reboot > Log on to the new account > Test.
If that don't works:
- Make sure Origin is closed.
- Download Revo Uninstaller. (Freeware version, Portable version works too.)
- Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall DAI > At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "Moderate" > Browse.
- If "Remaining registration contract found" is displayed > Select "All" > Delete > Next.
- If "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed" > Select "All" > Delete.
- Restart the PC.
- Install DAI running Origin as Administrator. (right click the Origin shortcut on the desktop > Run as Administrator)
- Test.

Just noticed that i don't have anything in save folder, repairing, reinstalling game doesn't create anything inside it, since configuration file is being created at the first time the game enters main menu after install, this actually might be the problem we have been looking for, if you can somehow send me what should be in "Save" folder, send me yours config file if possible or point me to where i can download it, maybe it will fix problem, of course i will try the instructions you posted with last message too
- 7 years ago
Yeh, i have other game installed, and played them
- holger14057 years agoHero+
Please try the steps first. The config files should be created on your system by the game.
Also, do you use Onedrive or did you moved the standard documents folder (path: C:\Users\>your user name<\Documents) to a different location?
I don't use onedrive, also didn't moved documents anywhere, i just deleted content of "Save" folder, like i found in one of topics here, that's one of the first thing i tried, before making this topic
- 7 years ago
Tried this 2 things you mentioned, reinstalled game tested and it's not working. I am nearly sure this thing with config file will work, if you don't want to send me content of save folder for some reason, can you please atleast post what's writed inside of your ProfileOptions_profile, i will copy that to mine and that might work, and if not, i will keep changing resolutions etc. and maybe will work at some try, now i have nothing in "Save" folder, you didn't tell me where to download it if possible, so i can't test this theory
There is also another information i give, our actiong changed type of problem, you said that msinfo32 catches only crashes or something like that? it no longer write any error message about DAI, so that might be some kind of progress in our lack of progress in fixing the problem, and maybe this information will give you some clue what to test next, but even tho i am not experienced in that stuff i would try this method i mentioned

Do you run Malwarebytes by any chance?? Reason I ask, is I had another person have issue with it changing permissions on the C drive, preventing writing to it by games....which caused issues to say the least. So double check your drive permissions and such. The game as @holger1405 stated SHOULD write a new default file, and if it isn't, then that in itself is an issue...meaning either it isn't running long enough to do so, or something is preventing it from doing so.....
May also want to post up what exactly it is doing again since it has changed a bit, and repost a new DxDiag file on the new issue too.....
Even if the problem is not fixed yet i want to thank you guys for spending so much time on trying to help me fixing it, i hope it will soon be solved
- 7 years ago
How to check if i have malwarebytes on my computer?
- holger14057 years agoHero+
You should know it if it is there if you are the only person who uses this Computer.
It is not part of Windows so it had to be installed separately. If you don't know for sure, look trough the Program list. You tried the second Windows user account as well?
Also, if the game can't access your "Documents" folder, creating this folder will not help.
Run Origin as an Administrator:
Right click the Origin shortcut on the desktop > Properties > Advanced > Check "Run as Administrator" > Ok > Test.If that don't works:
Press the Windows key and "X" at the same time > Click on "Command prompt (Administrator)" or "PowerShell (Administrator)"
-
In the CMD or PowerShell window, at the prompt type or copy: takeown /F "C:\Users\user\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition" (With the quotes. > hit "ENTER" (That is if you didn't changed the user name of your main account by now)
- Reboot. > Test.
