AMD/raptr DLC not working, support no help at all

Last November I purchased the AMD/raptr DLC pack. Redeemed fine on Origin but to this day, more than 8 months later, it still doesn't work. No medallion. No mount. No mp chest. Contacted raptr, they said they just sell it and can't help with technical issues. Contacted EA support and eventually received a reply from a "specialist" that they can't do anything and that I should post about it here. Apparently they can't even forward bugs. So here I am. This is the DLC:

http://support.raptr.com/support/discussions/topics/5000026488

Supposed to give you a medallion when you wake up in Haven: Nope.

Supposed to give you a mount when you unlock mounts: Nah.

Supposed to give you a special amd chest for mp: Nuffin.

Apparently pc only. Check, I play DAI on  pc. But no DLC for me.

Can you post a screenshot of your redeemed DLC on the DAI game details page?

    That's quite odd.

Unfortunately, this is a problem only support can fix, even if they claim they can't. They have to manually add the DLC entitlement to your account. Answer HQ is community driven, so no one here can help you with DLC issues because we have no access to your account.

  • That's what you'd think, you'd expect they can, at the very least, forward a bug to the dev team if they can't fix it. Right? Wrong! Here's the relevant bit of the reply I received, sending me here:

I'm sorry to hear that you are having this issue with the DLC extra content not showing for you, I understand it must be very frustrating to have to deal with since you got the game. For the DLC extra content, you do have to play through the game and reach certain milestones before they become available. Before the Mounts become available, there is a stable master in the Hinterlands that must be recruited. You can find other hints for where these bonus content is here:
    http://help.ea.com/en/article/where-to-find-dragon-age-inquisition-bonus-content/

If you have already reached these milestones and have not received the bonus content, I would recommend posting this issue on the forums as this is where the Studio look in order to find issues with the game and would be the best place to post any bugs like this if troubleshooting does not fix it. Also if you go to the following link, this is where other players post tips and information on the game, so here you should be able to find of others who play where to go for the bonus content:

    Looks like a copy/paste reply.

Usually support sends people to this forum if they don't know what else to do. I think you'll have to open a new support ticket and hope they connect you to a better support agent.

This was already escalated from regular phone and chat support to their "specialist" team, who sent that response... Also there are numerous other threads about the same issue, all unresolved. Guess you don't get worst company awards for nothing...

The threads on Answer HQ are unresolved because there's literally nothing the community can do about this.

EA's support is actually praised as one of the best in the gaming industry. Occasionally, however, you get connected to a support agent who doesn't know how to deal with a certain issue, which is when you best switch to someone else.

Interestingly, Steam's customer support is regarded as one of the worst in the industry, despite Valve being an excellent publisher and developer.

Yes I used to like EA's support a lot, but then I took an arrow just lately it appears a bit clueless and powerless. What happened to the EA reps replying here? Pretty sure I saw posts from them here not too long ago.

And I agree completely, Steam support is absolutely dreadful. Email only, real slow and it appears those guys are so bored with their job they amuse themselves by deliberately misunderstanding everything on purpose or drawing things out and ignoring or deflecting questions until you just give up in disgust. They also like to resend the same canned reply over and over again, usually one that doesn't address the issue at all.

There are EA community managers on this forum who manage the forums, but they can't help with everything.

The best thing about Steam support is being able to just e-mail CEO Gabe Newell, which may get you better support than going through their official support channels.
