Anyone else as bored with the game as I am?

You can actually fast travel between some fortresses and things of that nature. So there is other ways to fast travel than just camps you've unlocked.

I'm currently in the oasis and I've tried Fast traveling from one of the camps to one of the caves for which I have discovered and it won't allow me to do that. It will only allow me to fast travel between camps.

Caves might not be fast travelable, but for example I could fast travel to a fortress I discovered in the Storm Coast. I think some places are fast travelable other than camps, but not all of them, like caves.

Well that might be true there first time I've heard of restriction like that. Don't even have that sort of restirction with Skyrim. Nor any of the other issure I mentioned in my OP

Yeah, this game has all sorts of problems right now. Not a good launch at all, it left a bad taste in my mouth at least. Patch 2 broke this game for a lot of people and we've been waiting for the hotfix this whole day.

Nope! Put about 70 hours into my first character and felt like i only hit about 50% of what the game offers in content and about 40% of it offers in lore/story. The controls on my PC work great for me seeing i could bind a bunch of keys to my razer hex. You fast travel everywhere and almost anywhere, though this should be the opposite, you claim you know rpgs xD Get rid of fast travel, none of this, would like me to hold you hand while you eat my delicous cookies nonsense. The maps are amazing, and my point there is that, there are open areas that serve no purpose other than to add the the scenary and immersion. Hats off to the art team there =D There is more than enough monster variety if you were to stick to your casual play through the storyline. On my second playthrough i started on nightmare with freindly fire on, keeps you on your toes and you have to actually build your companions correctly, not just let the AI do its thing xD Sure i have encounted my fair share of bugs, as you can look up, but there has not been a single player rpg that has offered this much lore and character story in awhile. This really kindle my love of Knights of the Old way back when. See you in the next bioware game sir!

Um you can return to Hinter any time ! . On world map highlight it open it and press? for fast travel . I finished the game and was still collecting shards there before and afterwards . You can fast travel to camps which are spread out so once you open them all its never more then 5 mins away .  This isnt skyrim its dragon age if you had played one and two why are you expecting Skyrim ?

1. Fighting the same types of monsters over and over again.

Yeah because all games have 389 different types of monsters, that in the end are just reskin and recolors of the same dude...

2. Restrictions put on when you can use weapons. I've got many weapons for which I'm allowed to use but can't due to the fact that I'm not of high enough level. I'm carrying a bunch of weapons that no one in my party can use because the are any where from 4 to 10 levels higher then what we are. And yet the weapons for which we are able to use aren't powerful enough to really do any damage. So all they are doing is taking up precious carrying capacity.  And when we do get high enough to use them they aren't worth nothing.

The game emphasis more on crafted weapons and gear, that are much more superior then the looted gear.

looted gear only give flavor text and one or 2 interessting ability 10% of the time, the rest its just garbage anyway.

3. Fast travel is pretty much non existent. You can not fast travel between various areas for which you've already discovered. Only thing I've been able to fast travel to are the camps that I've set.

Usually when you discover an area, you discover a camp or travel point to go back to, of course its not Skyrim" i can teleport any **bleep** place i want", but its a game about adventure...

4. Not a true open world rpg like that for which games like the Elder Scroll series is. At least in that one you can go any where you like any time you want and back again if  you want to. Heck I couldn't even go back to the Hinterlands once I left there. What is up with that.

Might be a bug, because i complete Hinterlands and i can go back whenever i want, you should check on that, also TES games ennemies does scale with your lvl no matter where you're going, so it has no more incidence where you go.

DA  is more old school in the way that zones and ennemies are level specific, so it would be problematic if people like you would whine a **bleep** they had run into a lvl 23 Giant when they when they are lvl 4 and got owned and that it frustrates them because of it...

5. Lousy keyboard/mouse controlabitly for the pc.

Unfortunatly i can't argue with that, well yes i can, actually its not the controls, its the way the controls interact with the enviroment, like picking up items or looting, where with M&KB you have to face the item and click on it with the mouse at the right spot or you can simply click in the air, while with the controler, no matter your orientation, you can grab it by pression the button and the character will auto-re-orient himself and pick it.

This need to be fixed and also custom key mappings for the mouse, the rest is good.

6. Lousy maps. Your in a cave or other area you'd expect to be able to bring up a map of the interior of where you are located. Not of the outside world. Who was the one for which came up with the mapping in this game? They need to be fired.

Nothing new here, not all games give you an exhaustive with a 24x zoom in on the map of every square inch of each freakin area.

Like i said its a game about adventure and exploration, don't trust the map, trust your guts.

Well now I beg to differ with you in regards to my not knowing RPGs as I've played more then my share and continue to go back and play them over and over again. DA 1 and 2 are still on my system as well as for The Witcher 1& 2. I've played the full ES series and have well over 3,000 hours and counting  into Skyrim alone and I still love playing the game.

The outside maps are good but the interior maps are none existent. Weaponry restrictions to level is garbage. Not being able to swich between ranged/melee is a joke.

As for your seeing me in the next Bioware game maybe just maybe when it goes on sale for $10 or so I might. But I'll never ever pre oreder a bioware game. I just hope that TW 3 is allot better then this one here.

1. what I meant by the same types of monsters all I've seen in this game is hyenas, spiders and fade demons. Well most have giants, bandits, drgaings humans, vampires, werevovels spiders and this is just to name a few them. and your telling me that they are all the same?! I don't think so.

2. So does games like Skyrim but they don't say you've to be level 12 to use a certain dagger or bow when you've been using bows and daggers from the beginning of the game. One dagger pretty much like the next one why restrict them to level? Crafted weapons I've found a few schematics various low tier leathers, and some iron oh and then some various plant ingridents. Nothing worth crafting in that whole load. Mostly low end trash cept maybe the plant ingrients.

3. Skyrim's a game about adventure as well. And once you descover a place you should in fact be free to fast travel there if you want to. If you don't want to fast travel then that is your choice as well.

4. Well I've tried several times and have yet to be able to go back to the Hinterlands it's not even on the world map.

Well as for the way for which the enemies are that is understandable there I don't whine that something is more powerful than that for which I am. I just avoid it and come back when I am able to take it out. But restriction on the weapons to where you Have to be a certain level  is total BS. I mean if you found the weapon and your not restricted by your class to use it then you should be able to use it plain and simple.
