Audio stutter and glitch

I recently got back into playing Inquisition after a few years, but with a new rig. However, I'm encountering an issue that makes playing rather unpleasant.

Basically, after about 10 minutes of playtime, the audio for the sound effects starts to glitch out and then all sounds bug out for a second or two. It then goes back to normal but glitches out again after a few seconds. At first, only the ability SFX are affected, but eventually, all sounds start to stutter. This continues until I restart the game. I've reinstalled the game and tried with and without mods.

Here are my specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900x

GPU AMD RX 6800XT

RAM: 64 GB

I use an NVMe SSD for this game, and I've tried various speakers and reinstalled my audio drivers to no avail. No other game suffers from this problem, and I'm at a loss for what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Two things....

    One is this a Modded game??  If yes, have you tried a clean install of the game with a NEW character to see if this is mod related??

    Two, it looked like your sound was played through a USB adapter....have you tried a different USB port preferably in different location...wondering if something internal is causing an interference with the data on the USB port......  Or maybe try an onboard port for sound instead of the USB adapter....

    Hi, yes, I initially tried with a new character in an unmodded game, but the problem still occurred in exactly the same fashion. I've also tried my motherboard's direct audio port and 2 other speakers, but the problem persisted.
