bugged Dragon loot

Feledran Frostback Dragon & Kaltenzalin Dragon didn't drop any loot either. How frustrating.

Just spent an hour killing her on my own because my group died... did it for the tooth for romancing iron bull... no fing loot here either. Really irritating given they have a HUGE list of stuff they are meant to drop. I cant help but think if I wasnt playing connected to the net this wouldnt have happened.... these kinds of glitches will really quickly ruin what could be a great game. They make the dragons out to be super special given there are only ten in the game, then there are game breaking bugs like this you have to deal with? <_< I really hope there is a way to fix this bug short of reloading my save from like... 10 hours ago when I hit the midgame save because as soon as she was dead I quickly saved because Templars were sneaking up on me and I was nearly dead. 

(ON PC) I fought the one in Hissing Waste. The health bar had nothing in it , "T"  didn't see the dragon, and continued hitting didn't show any damage so I assume the dragon is dead.  The problem is that the dragon didn't fall over and was still breathing.   Since the game erroneously though the dragon was still alive, hence no loot dropped.  

BTW I have seen other foes that have died but do not die. 

Now the question is why is the game occasionally not recognizing that the mobs are dead

I have killed 3 High Dragons on the PC so far:-

1. Hinterlands Dragon - Killed at long range, took a while to find the loot Skull but found it where I did not expect it... near where my mage team was standing rather than where the dragon fell
2. Western Approach Dragon - Killed at closer range, loot skull dropped near enough where the dragon fell
3. Exalted Plains Dragon - Killed at similar range to the Western Approach dragon, loot skull dropped near enough where the dragon fell

In short, when the dragon falls do a good search of the area - the loot skulls do not always appear where you might expect them to.

after you fight the northen hunter go up the steps look up on the wooden bit on top of the tower the loot spawns up there but i dont know how to reach the loot
