Character models missing body parts/floating heads/etc?

Nvidia's recent drivers don't work properly with DA2 if you're using the DX11 renderer. You can either play in DX9 mode or use the last compatible driver.

The last compatible Nvidia driver is 340.52. (Source)

Please let me know if using this driver version fixes the issues you're having.

Going back to DX9 seems to have worked. Bit disappointing, but eh, wasn't playing this game for the graphics anyway.
I'll try the driver later, but for now I'll just grit my teeth with DX9 I think.

  It's a shame to have to run on DX9 on an advanced GPU.
  
  I used to have problems with Nvidia's drivers myself. I had to do research on which drivers to use for games like Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect. My brother has an Nvidia GPU and League of Legends' framerate got cut in half when he updated his driver. He's had similar issues with Star Wars: The Old Republic.
  
  I like Nvidia's products and software, but the driver compatibility is the reason I switched to AMD cards. They have some unique issues as well, but at least I can play games that are over two years old.
