Cloud Sync keeps deleting my saves

This has been happening every time I play the damn game. I have tried the cloud storage to restore the save and every time I would do that, it would shave off the last 2 hours of my save. But now it has shave off 9 hours, 9 hours! This has only affected my save and not my brother. I really need help!

No, it's the cloud sync. It usually shave off 2 hours of my work :/ but when I pressed restore data it deleted 9 hours of my gameplay. This only affects my save though and not my brother. Plus I don't know whose save is which because they don't clarify in the save file.

open origin click on DAI click on the I (information icon next to the launch button) go to cloud storage tab turn off cloud sync, now cloud sync will not delete your progress

It still doesn't restore my save though. Ugh I guess I might as well continue... :/ I have been waiting in queue for a game advisor to show up and it has been 2 hours.

  • tbh, I've found the game advisors tend to just point you back to this forum when you report 'bugs' and problems. Hope you got through and they actually managed to help you!

I suffered badly from this... currently waiting on an advisor for the second time to try and fix it.

Bottom line- this CAN happen. I played offline starting with about 6.75 hours of gameplay time. Over a week later, I booted up the game and I just happened to be connected to some local WiFi hotspot, so it asked if I wanted to sync my local files with the cloud- I assumes this meant that it would take all my current local non-cloud saves and ADD them to my cloud game saves, BUT NOPE! It overwrote my local non-cloud saves with my most recent ones. (Of which I had played approx 50 hours!)...

VERY annoying the way this cloud sync works. Under no circumstances should you be able to delete files on your computer with ONE CLICK. That is how accidents happen- accidents like mine.

  • Be very careful with this. I was just informed by an advisor that they have no way of restoring my old game saves.

I ACCIDENTALLY synced after playing for over a week offline. I went from a game save that had over 55 hours of gameplay to my old one that had no more than 6! And EA said there is nothing they can do...

So, in other words, ONE CLICK could erase HOURS, DAYS, and WEEKS worth of gameplay. I HIGHLY suggest if you only use one PC to play your games to turn the cloud option off. I can't imagine a significant percentage of PC Gamers needing to play from multiple devices anyway! It makes no sense to me!

I am, needless to say, VERY disappointed by this whole situation. I was very excited to finish DA: I, but there IS NO WAY I am playing through FIFTY hours of the same game ALL over again... Boo
