Console Command prompt won't prompt

I can't get the console commands to work. I've edited the key binding .ini, trying several keys, and I'm launching with a shortcut with the -enabledeveleporconsole tag on the end. Cut n' pastes, with added quote marks on either side, are:

"OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_Z" Where I've tried several other keys as well (I was hoping to use either ` or | )

""C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age II\DragonAge2Launcher.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole"

I read that I may need to use the ` key in conjunction with my bound key (in this case Z) but can't seem to get that to work either.

Any help?

Oh yeah, Windows 7, patched to 1.04.

  • Your shortcut should reference the actual game executable, not the Launcher.

    Like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age II\bin_ship\DragonAge2.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole

EDIT:  Unless one has the Steam install.  Then, (I'm told) it does have to point to the Launcher...  No idea why.  But your path indicates you have the EA/Origin install.
