DA: Multiplayer: Door Keys Bugs

There is an issue with new monsters, creatures and animals that were introduced to the DA multiplayer in last patch - they often result in bugging key drops. I think it is when an animal/ creature is killed with some sort of explosion that causes their model to move (e.g. explosive shot by ranger, walking bomb by necro and firestorm by elementalist). The animal seems to die, but its model is stuck in the place of its death, invisible and impossible to target, but it receives damage or effect by GAoE or AoE abilities, when you hit the place where animal died and bugged out with explosive shot for example, the ability goes in cooldown and its says immunity. This results in not getting the key after killing all enemies (which doesn't let to proceed to next level/zone), and it happens all the time when there are animals on the map and you can't do anything unless host leaves, and when host leaves you often end up alone inbegining that map level with 30 or something percent health.

Please if you can't fix it, or don't know how to do it yet, just remove animals before you figure it out, we don't need them, we want to be able to play without this issue.

And I heard some people says its the same issue with templars assassins (templar shadow I think it is called).

    I have been having this issue every single game today (it is not always an explosive kill, but every game we keep getting stuck not being able to move to next area because it says defeat all enemies even thogh they are all dead). If the host quits it gives the ret a chance they can redo that level and move on , but even then it is most of the time back to defeat all enemies and find key to move to next area (even after they are all dead). And there are no hidden assassins etc have checked a hundred time entire area. Hope they fix this issues soon or I am going to just stop playing for a while or until it is fixed.

  • Bump!!! This has been going on way too long now. Happens on every system that I'm aware of since the DLC

  • Just checked a map with elementalist and it still bugged out, maybe i just got unlycky. But i think the way that it works (they way you get the key) is the game checks to make sure all enemy models/ textures have been removed; i think so because i recall killing last enemy with winter's grasp and before it unfreezes and dissapears you don't get the key. And i think tht animal models get stuck sometimes, and don't dissapear. I'm not sure, but i think that dead mobs 'fall under the ground' when they dissapear, and because of awkward animal model it gets stuck (as i said early i think sometimes due to explosions or knockbacks at death).

    Maybe possible and easy fix could be to change condition of victory to all enemies 0 health, rather then all enemy models gone. Assuming it is the models gone at the moment, which i can't be 100% sure of ofcourse.
