Hoo boy, well, I don't know if you can call this a "solution" but it definitely is fixed now.

I tried the previously-suggested fixes to no avail (cleaning registry, deleting settings file), and upon getting to updating graphics drivers, tried both updating through Devices (which told me the drivers were up to date) and downloading a manual update (since it was listed as being more recent than June for my particular driver). Attempting to install the manual update took several tries, and after restart the computer was stuck on the Windows startup loading screen (black background, spinning circle) for an entire day.

I tried rebooting it and several other solutions, but nothing worked until I managed to get Safe Mode going through holding down Shift+F8 before rebooting (to get around Quick Launch). Once again, the less drastic methods didn't work, so I went for a reset that kept my files. Long story long, after a successful reset, boot, and Origin + DAI re-installation, the problem is now fixed.

I will note that Origin updated in the time since I started having this problem, so I'm guessing either the update or the reset fixed the problem, though hell if I know which.
