DAI: My game keeps stalling and exiting randomly

There appears to be an issue with my graphics card and DAI. This is the only game I play that has this issue.

Here is the error.

For technicals for is my rig.

  • Asus Sabertooth x97 Mark 1, LGA 1150 Chipset

  • Intel i7-4790k

  • 16 GB’s RAM (Corsair 2x8GB, 1600 MHz)

  • 2x Nvidia GeForce 760 SC 4gb (I do not have them in SLI mode, their dual screen SLI mode is ‘odd’)

  • C: is a Cruical 512 GB Solid State (I do not have the model number current available, if that is potentially and issue I can get it)

  • D: is a LG Super Blu-Ray BR-ROM drive (again I do not have model number, but I can get it)

  • E: is a Western Digital Black 2TB

  • F: is a Western Digital Green 1TB

  • All inside a Cooler Master HAF series box

  • Two LG LED 27 inch monitors

Suggestions on how to fix this issue, it is making the game unplayable...

    * Set postprocessing in game to Low. (This is the easiest potential fix).

    * Change your Nvidia Control Panel settings - Maximum pre-rendered frames ⚽; Power management (Performance); Vsync (adaptive or ON).

    * As a last resort, try borderless windowed mode setting in game.

Other performance tweaks (may not be necessary):

    * Defragment your hard drive (if it is not an SSD)

    * Repair the game.

    * Turn off Origin overlay in Origin.

    * Play Origin offline (unless you plan on Multiplayer, then you won't be able to do this).

If all else fails, you can try a clean install of your Nvidia and DirectX drivers.

I used to have "device removed" error in Frostbite games as well, but with Mantle instead of DirectX, which a clean install fixed.

Okay, real quick, how do I repair the game?

  • Go to My Games in Origin, right click on DAI and there should be a repair option in the list.
