Default Femme Hawke's appearance is not her iconic default appearance

Unless if I'm doing something wrong, whenever I choose the default femme Hawke, a brief freeze appears before loading up Hawke's appearance, which is the default custom appearance (the appearance you'll see when you first start up her appearance customization). I don't believe that this is her actual iconic appearance since it largely differs from one of the promos (Enemy of Thedas trailer). I don't know if it's supposed to be her iconic appearance, but I doubt it due to the lack of videos and images from other customers showing her iconic appearance. This appearance could have been changed, but I really doubt that Femme Hawke changed her hair and skin color between installments if compared to Male Hawke.

Male Hawke's default iconic appearance is working judging by the gameplay vids found on Youtube, so I could assume that Femme Hawke's iconic appearance option is broken on possibly all (or most) platforms unless if I'm proven otherwise.

My Hawke was imported from Dragon Age: Keep.

Yeah it's pretty disappointing. Any fix, Bioware/EA??

Same problem here. Her face is noway near like the one in Dragon Age 2.

Whenever I try to choose the default Hawke appearance the game just crashes on me. I uninstalled the game and no luck.

Crash bug is something else but I did spoke with a nice person from the Technical Support. She told me that Standard Hawke is bugged and that they are aware of it/working to fix it.

I wondered why she looked SO different from DA2. I had no idea that it was a bug. I figured they just wanted to totally change what her default appearance was. It would have been way cooler to have the iconic look than the random white chick with face tattoo.

Update
Previously my standard female Hawke looked this http://i.imgur.com/B7OQQNS.jpg . Nowhere near the Legendary version seen here http://i.imgur.com/zdpW3GM.jpg .
Now after patch my game closes just after I select the the standard one..

Yes that's exactly what my iconic female Hawke looks like as well. Reloaded a couple times and I get the same model every time I choose the iconic Hawke option. It's really quite a letdown after running to the quest marker to get to talk to me from the last game, and it isn't me.

Having the same problem. I've tried reloading multiple times including from earlier saved games as far back as the snowy sequence before arriving at skyhold. Officially stuck unless someone else has found a workaround for this?

Still the same bug. It's been 2 months since I played the game and it looks like it will be much longer at this rate.

It is not a bug, it is a design choice. The CC differs immensely from DA2 hence impossible to re-create the same appearance from DA2. People in this forum need to differentiate between a design choice and a bug.
The design choice can be horrible but it doesn't make it a bug just because it does not please you. And you always have the option to edit the way your Hawke looks, it is not like you are forced to accept a pre-rendered Bioware pill-sized Hawke.
