Does anyone know how to delete characters from the Keep, in the Inquisition tab? I ended up with a bunch of them there because of a glitch I had in the game after character creation... I would like to clean that up since I am with only one character now.

It is a feature they are working on, but you can't do it yet. Only characters from DA2 and DAO can be deleted.

another quick question, I have just one world state, it is the one I used to start my new game. It used to have my old character as active in the Inquisition tab, now I have changed to my new one, there are some choices I made with the other that I might change with this one, will it change things automatically? I tried to make a new world state to see if the Inquisition tab would come up clean, but didn't work.

Apparently the playthrough states include the world states used at character creation. So you want to look at playthroughs for you character decisions in Inquisition. The world states can be used over and over for every character, and are separate even though they seem to be connected to the world states when looking at the Tapestries in DA Keep. oh I see, I think I got it.
I copied my current playthrough to a new world state to see how it goes. The only thing that bothers me is that they change the previous heroes names to the default ones, I don't like that, I mean it is still there, but you have to click trough all the layers until the last one where you choose the hero in order to see the name. I have an annoying OCD behavior with this sort of thing, as you can tell by now. But I think I will be able to achieve satisfaction as soon as I can erase the other useless playthroughs.
