Deluded Chevalier

I can’t get into the fortress!! I know the soldiers are supposed to come out but they aren’t at all, I can’t find a way in and I can’t fight the door to just get the quest to complete! I walked around for two hours just trying to glitch in, and I couldn’t do that either, I’ve even tried with my horse! Does anyone have any ideas? I’ve tried uninstalling and redownloading, same issue, even going to an earlier save doesn’t work!
