I have a Nvidia graphics card and am getting the DirectX Function "Get device Removed Reason" Error message as well. It happens during cut scenes - not all of them and there doesn't seem to be a pattern other than cut scenes. I am able to "close all windows" when I right click on the DAI icon in quick start bar. Then the game starts up okay and runs okay.
Here is the full error message:
DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed.") GPU "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760", Driver: 34475
Some members here report that installing a current Direct3D from Microsoft (newer than the one in the download of the game) may help.

You may need to run the download's install as Administrator to be sure the correct flags are all reset.
There have been changes made to that page, so several things are all together. Here's a tutorial on how to do things:

Hi! As everyone here i got the same problem. I got a 660 Ti Nvidia Geoforce on my own pc, and often i got into the same issue.
The bug is not that terrible, i discovered that without the ambient occlusione and, specially, without the taxelletion it gets a little better, but actually, it doesn't really solved the problem.
For which i read a lot of people get the same problem as we, so i hope that an official patch is working!
Anyway, i'll try to install the drivers and i'll make you know if it fixes something! Thank's for the helping 🙂
Edit: Sorry, where i can find actually this drivers? The download didn't install anything :/
By the way, i'm italian, so i'm sorry for my terrible english xD
