Has anyone found a solution for this issue yet? I have seen a few threads on this forum, but nothing with any solutions.
Strangely enough, booting into Safe Mode with Networking allowed me to download the game with no problems.
I have had this issue with many origin games the only real salution I have found is to either just hope and pray it will download or find a torrent for the game download the torren (not a cracked copy just a torrent of the files origin would download) download that put it in the game directory (do not have the download going while you do this or even origin open) then after the game is copied over relauch or resume download it will check the files and see they are all there and then proceed to install your game.
Good suggestion. Unfortunately it is going to be difficult to find a third party download of the game files for a while. I'd love to play this game now.

Sounds like co-incidence to me, there are numerous reports of this problem and I have been trying to consolidate them here.
This problem is not solved. I've tried every suggestion in the forums, including this one, and I still have this issue. Refreshed DNS cache, manually set the DNS to a fixed address, rebooted the modem, manually uninstalled Origin, reinstalled it, updated it, rebooted in safe mode with networking, and still have this issue. This is a pathetic problem to have for any internet company, since everyone downloads files everyday from the internet without issue.
