Dragon age 2 and Legacy questions, help plz

Hi,

I bought Origins years ago and recently have finally played through Origins and Awakenings.

I am currently playing DA2 and am having some issues.

I do not know if my getting patched and installing the Legacy DLC triggered any of my problems.

At this time, quest "Questioning Beliefs" for Merrill is bugged, the quest is listed but when I go to her house she has no quest icon over her.

Quest: The Awiergan Scrolls is broken? I played through phase one, two and 3, it is at Pride Unbound, hints on the web tell me that some door in Anders area is to appear to find the evil lair but no go there.

Lastly and I apologize for the long post...

Legacy will not trigger.Even though I have a quest icon in Hawkes house over the writing desk no new letters are there.

Hints say interact with the griffon statue but all Hawke does is say a couple things about the statue. 

I can probably finish the main story line but as I was playing the games in order it was suggested I play Legacy before Inquisition(am itching to start that one!!)

any help is greatly appreciated

    Thank you for your reply. It turns out (didn't notice this before) that I have the evil Unauthorized devil on my Legacy download.

    edited: I ended up being able to buy the Legacy DLC from Origin, Legacy is now playable!! woot

    The Merrill bug is quite common. Check out this thread.

    The Dragon Age wiki says that sometimes the final phase of Awiergan Scrolls doesn't trigger. A possible workaround is to make it your active quest.

    As for Legacy not triggering, do you have the latest patch version installed?

    If you have the disc version on PC, find the patch here: http://lvlt.bioware.cdn.ea.com/bioware/u/f/eagames/bioware/dragonage2/patch/pc/DragonAge2-1.04.exe

    If you have the digital download from Origin, you should already be on the latest patch version.

    I don't know exactly how patching works on consoles.

    Some bugs can be fixed by repairing the game. If you have the PC Origin version, right click the game in your library and select the repair game option. Other versions may not support a repair, but a reinstall may work. On consoles, it may help to turn off the console and unplug it, then trying again.
