Dragon age Inquisition --CPU overheating

So, after upgrading my cooling I am not having overheating issues any longer.  I also updated my bios on the MB as well.

The liquid cooler is pretty cool - idle temp before 55 celius, after 25 celius.  Dragon Age temp before 85 celius, after 42 celius.

If you're having issues with your CPU or gfx card overheating thats a problem with your own hardware and has nothing to do with the game.

If your PC components are cooled properly you should be able to run for example Prime95 stress tests indefinitely (which puts your CPU cores on 100%).

If your components can't run at consistent max load you should be investing into better cooling options or downclocking your HW.

Frostbite is one of the most demanding engines around, it's actually laudable that it properly uses multiple cores, most games don't.

@KaiHohiro  Incorrect.  I played this game for 87 hours without problem, including a sizable marathon of around 12+ hours, all of which were at around 70C.  Now, anytime I try to play Dragon Age (and only Dragon Age, because the problem simply DOES NOT OCCUR with other games), it immediately shoots up to 90+C.

Now, given that every other variable has stayed the same, same idle temps, same other game temps, same hardware, and the only thing that's changed is Dragon Age, it's pretty easy to see that Dragon Age likely has a problem, and that's why I'm posting here, because others are having the same issue.

I also had to upgrade my cooling so the game wouldn't heat crash my CPU.

DA:I is a CPU's Extreme work out trainer.

My CPU Overheating too, i keep 40°C~60°C on all games on Ultra and this game on Low graphics make my CPU go to 100°C and freezes, crashes and restarting after few minutes of gameplay.

I am very disappointed and seriously thinking about getting my money back because I have an extreme PC and I can not play that **bleep** since launch 😕mileyfrustrated:

I had the over-heating CPU problem too. In fact, I already had it before I tried this game, but this one was SO demanding on CPU, that automatically shut down my PC over 10 mins of game (and a hell of stuttering on lower settings). I had to open the case, unmount the CPU fan cooler, apply new thermal paste (mine was almost history) and put the CPU fan cooler back in.

After that, the game played smoothly, and no shut downs anymore. I can't believe that people with beast rigs like yours cannot run the game. My rig is:

CPU intel core i7 930 (2.8 GHz, without OC)

GPU nvidia 750 Ti 2 GB

12 GB DDR3

This game is SO heavy CPU and GPU wise....it puts Watch_Dogs as a light game.

My gilrfriend gifted DA:I for Christmas knowing that i have a new pc build for gaming.

i7-4790k 4.00Ghz

16Gb Ram

GTX 970 Asus Strix

Windows 8.1 64 bit

Multi fan (x6) sistem for keep case cooler.

Played all my Steam games on max settings with 60 fps and temperature on 60°C. 

Installing DA:I. First play the CPU temperature bumped to 86°C. VGA at 60°C. CPU at 86°C. What the hell? Reload and restart the sistem.
Second try.

Ten minutes of playing 92°C.

At 30 minutes PC freezes and crashes,

Tryed to change graphic settings. Ultra low or Ultra hight nothing changes. Same overhealing CPU. Always over 86 °C.

Can't play the game. Pc has no problem. The problem is inside the game.

Solution? Fix incoming?

my CPU is constantly at 90-100% when I play this. It's rather insane, and every 30 seconds or so, I get a huge lag spike, assumingly because the CPU has been pegged, and can't catch up.
