Dragon Age Inquisition CPU (PC)

Hey, I have been trying to figure this out now for a while. I have a laptop with windows 8.1 and 64-bit.. But laptop is a year old plus a few months. I thought that it would be able to run smoothly since the other two did as well with the graphics high. When I lower the graphics on this DAI I can play it a little better but it still freezes and at that point it just looks horrible and i have no idea what im fighting or where i am going. It seems to be my CPU. At this moment the game is taking up 78.1% which of course changes all the time (between 70% to 100%) which does not leave much room for anything else there is about two other things that take up CPU but i cannot disable them or my laptop would no longer work. If someone could shed some light on this situation it would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance.

  • @98hm Hi, please take a look at this sticky for an idea of what's useful to include when posting for help. Please follow the instructions in the spoilered section to make and post a dxdiag.

Laptops generally aren't great for running games, so you may need to be prepared for bad news. Hopefully not, though 🙂

Also, if by 'the other two' you mean the previous DA games, they ran on an entirely different engine to DAI, a computer being able to run them is not an indication that you'll be able to run DAI.
