Thanks bacadd, great tip.
Something that can help anyone who is having launch issues is to restart your machine with a Clean Boot, this helps with detecting whether 3rd-party programs are interfering with the game. same here! I just got it preordered for EU release today and i paid like £50 for the deluxe PC edition! ☹️ my computer isnt amazing but it could manage the minimum requirements which is fine by me but it just opens a black box then closes straight away! >☹️ i hope they get a fix or a solution to this, ive been waiting for this game for AGES.

I tried a couple things through msconfig...clean boot instructions, safe boot with networking, and one that just loaded base video so it had ridiculous big resolution...same problem though small black window crash to desktop. I dont even see anything in event viewer about an app crash.

The minimum of a 4 core CPU seems to be true. I have a Phenom X3 710. Same problem as everyone else. I'd get the loading icon, hear the music, but stuck on a black screen with just my mouse cursor. I unlocked the 4th core on my CPU just to see what happens. After reboot, the game started up just fine. Playing it right now.

Mine starts but when I click on anything to being, it does not respond at all.
It's like it disconnects all of the keyboard, mouse control or even USB microsoft controller from the game.

This right here.
I have the very latest drivers, I'm far above the required specs.
I've really tried everything. Reparing, running it as admin, running it in different compatibility modes, disconnecting my Gamepad..
NOTHING.
The game loads fine, tells me to "Click to Continue" and registers NOTHING. No keypress, no mouseclick. A connected gamepad also does nothing.
I paid way too much to get the collector's edition and now this thing does not even Start up! Please patch this PoS ASAP. I'm tired of giving devs and publishers money for these horrible experiences.

been getting same error as most of you: (0xc000007b)
i meet the minimum requirements
processor: I7 quadcore - 8 threads with latest drivers & software from intel
nivida graphics card GTX680 with latest drivers 344.75 (released 18 Nov)
and DA:I will just not start...

A clean boot does not fix the problem with me. I will note however that Origin continues to hang in the background as if it is still attempting to communicate with the crashed game.

Hi guys, I've been looking into the quad core issue and it might be an idea to check if your system is actually using all the processor cores available, apparently most of them are set to use only one even if there actually are more available.
Have just changed my setttings to use 4 cores (it was indeed set to use only one) which should mean I now have a quad core to work with and was in the middle of reinstalling the game anyway, will let you know if this works.
