I'm sorry to hear about your issue with DAO. EA definetely isn't particularly helpful with troubleshooting. I tried the online chat and nothing. I tried the support via e-mail and ended up in a loop of: 1) me explaining the issue to them; 2) then they would e-mail me a security code and ask me to share this code in another e-mail to continue the support by verifying I'm the actual owner of the account; back to step 1)... It's almost as if they don't care or don't want to solve the problem. I even tried to reach microsoft and was referred to a thread here in this forum with over 100+ replies regarding the same issue. I was also told that it was a problem with the version of DAI that EA made available for the Game Pass.
I managed to fix the issue with ProfileOptions in the link you mentioned. Thank you so much @dhansell for taking your time to help the community. It worked like a charm. I managed to keep my saves and eventually I'll be able to finish the story.
Thank you very much for taking your time to respond to this issue. As of today I still didn't get any help from EA itself. It is because of such behavior that the culture of piracy gains more strength everyday...
