Dragon Age Inquisition PC bug

I've bought Dragon Age Inquisition for PC and started playing it like a week ago. After making my character I didn't end up in the jail with Cassandra but in some kind of desert that looked like the environment you're in when you're creating your character. Thinking that's how it's supposed to be and that I just have to find my way out, I tried playing like this but didn't get out. Google told me it's a bug common for the PC version and I found some possible fixes, but none worked. I ended up deinstalling and reinstalling the game (which took 3 days) but the bug is still there so I can't play the game. I also can't demand a refund since too much time passed since I first played the game. I have no idea how to fix the game but really want to play it. Help?

  • Hello!

    Try this:

Open Origin then right click at the game in the Origin Client and then click repair.

Remember if you have played a lot backup your game if you need more help please contact me at Origin.

    Have a nice day!

  • Have you ever applied the framerate fix? If you modified the game shortcut or created a user.cfg file to unlock 60fps in cutscenes, you have to disable it or you can't get past character creation.

I've not done either of that. I don't even know what the framerate fix or 60fps is tbh. I've installed the game, created my character and the bug was there right from the start without me doing anything except changing keyboard shortcuts, but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

I've sent you a request on Origin now.

And I've already tried repairing it, and also updating or deinstalling and then reinstalling, but nothing worked. I've not played at all, that's my problem. Most fixes on the internet say just to force an automatic save on any of your other inquisitioners, but my game's been bugging right from the start, so I haven't been able to create and keep any character.

Thank you though, and have a nice day too!

  • Try this If you can do that [Try to back into a another save if you have many saves but dont take the oldest]

If you are using windows 8 try to start it with comtibel mode WINDOWS 7 becuse windows 8 have always problems.

You can do this by chance the comtible mode so it looks like this:
