Correct. The "Play" button is greyed out indicating that it is running but Task Manager doesn't show up at all. Closing the EA app it claims that the game is still running but again there's actually nothing there. Origins never opens up long enough for me to check Task Manager.
Gotcha, that typically indicates that something is blocking the game from running. It is technically running somewhere if the button is grayed out. You just have to find out what is causing it.
If you are using two drives, make sure the App and the game are installed on the same drive. If you don't have two, don't worry about that part.
I would do this - completely disable the UAC Here
Reboot and then run a repair on the game.
Run as Admin
- Close the EA app.
- Right-click the EA app icon on your desktop (or in the EA app directory if not on your desktop) and select Run As Administrator.

No dice. I did it repeatedly to be sure. The game is "running" but it's not showing up. Also I only have the one drive.

@jariahxsynn Do you have an Antivirus loaded up on there? You can add an exception in there or simply just disable it and reboot and see. There is something on there that sounds like it is being blocked from loading up.
I would also check your GPU drivers to see if those need updates as well.- 3 years ago
Drivers are updated. I gave DA2 access for both private and public. Still nothing.
