Dragon age origins new game crashing

Dragon Age origins has not been working for a while now. Every time I try and start a character, the game loads for a second and then crashes I've tried many ways to fix this to no avail. The only thing that will work is the darkspawn chronicles, and leliana's song. If anyone can help me fix this I would appreciate it.

    Try to repair the game.

    (Origin: Game Library > Right-click the game cover > Repair)

    (EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
    (Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)

    If that not works, create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that  with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

  • @holger1405 I have repaired my game and also made sure everything is up to date on all drivers / my system. My boyfriend is also a computer engineer and can not figure out why this is not running and crashes on launch. If you can solve this for me you will be my actual hero!!!!

    @Amathestria

    Please preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.

    Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and also Afterburner and similar software as well as all Asus Tools are disabled.

    Make also sure that your GPU & CPU are not overclocked.

  • @holger1405 Turns out it was a sound issue. It only works when I have headphones plugged in LMAO Random fix but it went from not launching at all to playable with no issues

    Interesting. 🤔

    You might want to replace this sound driver.

    But most important is that it works. Have fun gaming!
