Dragon Age Origins Not detected on the EA App

The EA app isnt detecting Dragon Age origins after I have purchased it on steam. Other games are showing up on my library (refer to first screenshot). I have it installed along with Inquisition (refer to 2nd screenshot).

I asked friends who also own the game and they said that it isnt normal, and the game should show up as well. I've tried reinstalling the EA App to no avail.

    @holger1405 It does launch via steam, yes.

    However, I would like to resolve the issue if possible. I want to avoid having any future problems related to game licenses.

    @holger1405 It does not, and is asking me to purchase it when I view it the store page.

    would it be possible to request for a key/code and redeem it on the app as a workaround?

  • So I've tried unlinking steam > clearing cache > link steam > clearing cache.

    It seems like theres an issue with EA apps and games already installed, as it has removed Inquisitions from my library (refer to screenshot) after doing so. Not sure why there's two notifications though. No other apps were removed, only Inquisition. Relaunching the game forces a connection to EA app and adds it back to my library.

    As for Origins, as it does NOT require the EA app due to having its own mini launcher, it doesnt force a connection.

    While I would like to try the process again to test out whether or not it would detect an uninstalled Origins,  I can't unlink again until november of this year.

    @Kazuga19

    Hey, I wanted to follow up on this thread to see if you continue having issues with the game! Apologies for not responding sooner on this one!

    Cheers!

    @Kazuga19 The images you attached indicate that the game was obtained through EA Play. The message you get that the game costs money shows that either the account doesn't own it, or the game was played through EA Play, and the subscription ran out.

    Games cannot be removed from your library unless they were played through a subscription, or EA Play removed the games from the subscription.

    The only other reason would be the player is logged into the incorrect account.

    If you owned the game (with a purchase, not EA Play) while playing in Origin, it would not make you pay to play it as per your screenshot.

    Were the games purchased through Origin when you first started, or from a code you used in Origin or through EA Play?
