I got the game a while back during the Open House on Origin and I've done everything on the Dragon Age Keep saved (or I think it's saved) but I still can't download the Toolset since I can't use or find the key for my game. Is there anything I've missed or forgot to do?
Yes, I've also been looking/searching for methods of pulling a CD License key from EA Origin. Unfortunately, the product code that it gives is not the same as a license key for purposes of registering the game on the Bioware site, which is what is required in order to download the Toolset. It sounds like peoploe who had it on steam may have been having some similar problems, but the CD key that is viewable on Steam may be working on the Bioware site once they find it.
I have exactly the same problem. I got my DA: O for free from Origin and I can't register it on Bioware. So I contacted the EA help. The advisor informed me, that they know about the problem and that the team of specialists is working to fix it.
Although I asked, he didn't tell me if the technical issue was on the side of EA or Bioware. He only said it will be fixed and I will be able to register my game, but he didn't tell me when.
I got the same problem too. I can`t register my DAO in Social Bioware Network, but another games works correctly. Site unformed me that "Your Dragon Age: Origins data is now read-only" and I must go here http://forum.bioware.com/topic/514993-syncing-previous-games-with-the-keep/ for solution, but it wasn`t helpful.
