Hey, All
Because of EA’s need to adhere to certain embargoes, sanctions, or laws, our games sometimes won’t be available in certain places.
We know this can be frustrating for players in those impacted locations.
If for whatever reason the embargoes, sanctions, or laws are changed to allow your location to access our library, we’ll work hard to get you access as soon as possible.
Please keep an eye out on our EA games unavailable in some countries article for updates to the game's availability!
Cheers!

@EA_Shepard There is no such embargoes or laws. EA simply didn't released the game for absolutely no reason and I can %100 confirm this for Turkey. And other comments suggests there may be no such thing in others as well. So why? This is not frustration because the game is not available (I personally already have the game in another platform). But frustration from being insulted.
I am aware that this is not your fault as a community manager, so don't take my last sentence personally.

Hi! As alluded to previously, there are absolutely no embargoes, sanctions, or laws preventing the release in Cyprus.
By every indication, it was added to the blacklist by accident. Please help us fix it.

@EA_Shepard just want to make something clear, EA doesn't need to adhere to certain laws in this case, since our countries have NOTHING against the game that will justify banning it, like we said serval times already it is available on any other platform besides the epic games store, or in other words - there are NO laws against the game, I understand if this is out of your authority but please contact someone higher up because there is obviously a mistake.
I don't understand why we need to explain the situation for so long without a decent response

If you read the article they linked, you will understand that they have chosen to not support war and war supporters going forward. Fair enough.
The issue is Cyprus has nothing to do with that

@Arcane_2077 Ever since your arrival, you have been political. This is not a place for politics. If this is indeed the case EA can tell it themselves

I am writing to formally complain about the regional block preventing Cyprus from participating in the promotional giveaway of Dragon Age: Inquisition on Epic Games. This restriction is both frustrating and, I believe, unlawful within the context of the European Union’s regulations.
As a member of the EU, Cyprus should not be subjected to regional restrictions that prevent its citizens from accessing digital content available to other EU countries. The European Union mandates the free movement of goods and services across its member states, and this principle extends to digital products and services. Blocking access to Dragon Age: Inquisition during this promotional giveaway is a clear violation of these regulations.
Your response mentioned the need to adhere to certain embargoes, sanctions, or laws. However, I must highlight that there are no EU-imposed sanctions or embargoes that justify this exclusion for Cyprus. By enforcing this regional block, EA is engaging in geo-blocking practices that contravene EU law, specifically Regulation (EU) 2018/302, which prohibits unjustified geo-blocking and other forms of discrimination based on nationality, residence, or place of establishment within the internal market.
I urge you to reconsider this unjust restriction and take immediate steps to ensure that the residents of Cyprus can access the promotional giveaway of Dragon Age: Inquisition on Epic Games. Failing to address this issue promptly not only undermines your commitment to your customers but also exposes EA to potential legal scrutiny for non-compliance with EU regulations.

Rest assured my friend, we know the laws and rules very well. It is not possible to ban this game within the borders of Türkiye. It does not cause any problems and is not prohibited according to Turkish law. The game is available for sale on Playstation, Xbox, Steam and EA Play platforms, but when we want to purchase it from Epic Games, we encounter an error and claim that this game is banned. This is not possible. It is also available on other platforms and we request that this game be available on Epic Games Store as soon as possible. And we prevent Turkish players from being deprived of the free game campaign

If Dragon Age was banned in my country, it should be unavailable on other platforms. But this situation is only valid on the Epic Games platform. So it's ridiculous to say that it's because of the law. You're just going to remove the restriction on Epic Games. It shouldn't be this difficult.

@EA_ShepardDude, this game is currently distributed for free on the Epic Games Store. Users from hundreds of countries can get this game for free, but we Turks encounter an error when we want to buy the gift. We contacted Epic Games support team. They say that this is not their fault, that EA Games is preventing Turks from buying this game. Our only wish is to stop this unfair ban on Turks.

You are a very big company. You are still trying to prevent Turks, Cypriots and Israelis from getting the game for free. You are victimizing us players. While other countries get the game for free from Epic Games, this behavior against us does not befit a company like you.
This topic has 41 points and 65 posts. You still haven't solved our problem since yesterday.

I'm just joining the confused outrage.
Is there any way to get EA's attention?

@EA_Shepard Dude, hours have passed but still no progress? You said you are interested, we are waiting, can you at least give us information about the latest situation?
- 2 years agoI agree with @ZaZAlamsah21. @EA_Shepard You are not providing any benefit here other than keeping people waiting and struggling. We are waiting for this ridiculous problem to be solved. I hope you will take care of it as soon as possible.

You have kept us waiting for hours for a process that would take minutes. You haven't even made any progress. We players are still waiting for you.

funny how this is by far the most attention for any forum about this game and probably every game across the last day and yet we still need to beg for an actual response

I still couldn't see Israel, Cyprus, and Turkey on the list. Could you please provide a solid solution to this problem? I have a PC Game Pass, and the game is listed and can be bought. The only problem is EA blacklisting random countries without explanation or announcement. These kinds of actions will definitely lead people to play pirated games.

@HealmeRZfor all of you just joining us here is a small recap:
for some reason in Israel Turkey and Cyprus ( maybe other countries as well ) dragon age Inquisition seems to be blocked in the epic game store
when we raised the issue here in this forum after a very long time we got a response from a community manager saying that it is because some countries are banned and he referenced an article explaining which countries are banned. obviously neither of these 3 countries are banned ( the ones who are banned are Russia, Iran, north Korea, Cuba, some regions of Ukraine, Belarus and that's it I think )
since we raised the fact that we are not banned and we know for sure ( that we are not banned by EA or that our countries banned the game ) because of the fact we can buy the game on different platforms EA have ignored us and yet to give an answer.
it is obviously a mistake a community manger can't solve which is why I asked for him to ask some higherups for help a few hours ago but this forum is still ignored since then.
hopefully they will chose to help us in the near future so we can all claim this game and stop this from happening again.
edit: you can try to open a ticket with them so the problem will get more exposure but I have opened one hours ago and still no reply..- 2 years ago
@amit3420 I hope so. EA generally resolves issues within one or two days. For example, I had a problem with Dragon Age 2 almost two or three weeks ago. It was a similar issue. I had the game on my PC from Game Pass, but I couldn't start it. Then, one day later, I uninstalled it and created a ticket. After two days, it was resolved.
