Tried asking by opening a ticket on Thursday.
Messages are not allowed, only a subject line of maximum 100 characters. Hard to fit ANY info there so I just mentioned that Cyprus was mistakenly excluded from redeeming DA:I, along with a screenshot transcript of Epic support clearly stating that it was a decision on EA's part and they can't do anything about it.
They waited two days and closed my case without a response (marked as resolved!).
No option to repoen or resume the case, or add any more detail. Well, there are buttons labeled "resume case", but they just redirect you to the main support page.
Pretty flagrantly violating EU consumer protection laws with this practice alone^
Don't know how they're allowed to treat people from the rest of the world, but this is not ok where I'm from

@02266be84f05ba85 Yesterday, I discovered that tickets aren't tickets in the sense we expected. You have to resume case... and then wait for a live chat to appear. Also "live chat" is unclickable sometimes so you might have to try an hour later etc. This has confused me too. What a weird support system.
They basically redirect to each other. Epic redirects to EA, EA redirects to Epic. I have contacted Epic today, saying that EA points the finger at them. Waiting for a response there.

@TardeliusAhh... We're supposed to know that a magical text box will appear after waiting at a redirection page for long enough?
Also, I didn't know the filename would be public, lol. It's a part of a sequence and doesn't make sense on its own 😅- 2 years ago@02266be84f05ba85 just got back from customer support myself and no wonder it did nothing to help
I explained the problem and was told to go to the epic games support, when I explained I already did it and that was their answer:
"You are unable to claim the game as you are in the region that the developers of the game has restricted. I do understand that you would want to claim the free game, however this restrictions were placed by the game developers and player support is unable to remove them."
I explained that EA are the developers of the game as it is theirs which means they are responsible for the false ban
the only answer she gave me after was that our countries are not apart of the list of banned countries and I need to contact epic since it is from their store and she can do nothing
