I upgraded my system to Windows 11. It was a fresh installation of Windows 11, not an upgrade from Windows 10.I downloaded the EA App and selected to download Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition, including all of the bonus content and clicked "download".In the lower left corner of the EA App I see a bar that is moving and a message saying "Preparing". This goes on for up to 5 minutes before it finally stops and I receive an error message that states the following."There's a problem with your download Something went wrong during the download. Give us a few minutes, then try again." I have gone through the process of uninstalling EA App and reinstalling the EA App. I have also followed the steps to clear the EA App cache. None of this has fixed the issue I have described above.I have also tried to download just the core game and not the DLC and this fails, as well. I spent almost 2-hours with your Chat Support and tried many of their suggestions and nothing has fixed the problem, which is why I am here (per their suggestion).

It has nothing to do with clean boot or viruses. EA app is broken. I'm not sure these gold badge people willing to admit it. You have to wait until they fix older games installation which is obviously lower priority or take this situation as example and buy games from Steam next time. Saw friend there playing DA:O. He was doing fine.

I have just tried to download Dragon Age origins from the EA App and had no problem doing that and playing the game previously on my old Windows 10 PC.It seems since getting a new PC with Windows 11 the game will not download, I get the Download error after it reached 14% and is still saying "preparing"I have tried clearing the cache and redownloading the EA App and get the same result. I had no problem recently downloading Mass Effect Andromeda on the EA App.A solution to this would be greatly appreciated.This is the last chance for me with the EA App, it is terrible and has caused me no end of problems in particular with the Dragon Age games since we were forced to use it instead of Origin. I have purchased all the games in a Steam Bundle and am at the point I'll just use that.

Please preform a clean boot and test the installation in clean boot mode.

Make sure your virus scanner and other security and similar software is disabled > Test.

I removed the EA App from my system. Then I performed a Clean Boot and reinstalled the EA App. I tried to download DAO: Origins and it had the same issue as originally described. Just says "Preparing" but never downloads the game.
Two other things that I tried (all from Clear Boot setup) were to run EA App as "Administrator" and the other thing I tried was to change the directory where the game would be downloaded and installed from the default EA Games folder. I created a folder called "BioWare" just to try changing directory locations.
Both of those also failed with the same result.

Hi, I have the exact same issue as dazk. Tried to download few older games; managed to download Jade Empire, Mirror's Edge and Dead Space (2008), but I got download error on some Dragon Age 2 DLC's
