Exalted Plains: Solas' quest bug

Hello!

I would like to finish this quest, but there appears to be a bug.

I got the quest from Solas and entered the Exalted Plains. I first did a few quests for the Dalish and entered the area of Solas' quest from the west. Solas reacted to what he saw, but nothing happened.  I can see the pillars and the object in the middle, but I cannot interact with anything in the area of the quest and the quest maker is gone from the map. It is still in the journal though, but when I click it, it doesn't show me where to go any longer.

I had some repeating dialogue that I think might be from the quest when I moved towards the fade rift to the east of Solas' quest, but nothing changed regarding the quest itself. It looped a few times ( around 4-5 times, even at unrelated places like further south). Reloading and fast travelling did nothing.

Is the quest broken? How can it be solved?

I really hope the newest patch has this in mind. Over 200 people between this thread and another have the same problem. Otherwise we can't progress in romancing Solas.

The recent update notes says that Solas quest was fixed.  I don't know if it is this issue or the activation issue on the other threads.  I am still seeing this issue (non-interactive thing on the exalted plains with Solas after he asked for help)  Thoughts?
