Freezing every 30 seconds
Hi frwiends, i could reallyy use some help Ya see the thing is i brought Dragon Age Inquisition a few days ago off Origin and i been trying to fix it ever since. (PC btw) The problem isn't so much w...
According to your dxdiag, your CPU is a dual core processor, whereas the game requires a quad-core processor. My google search tells me the i5-4570 should be a quad-core, however. Maybe someone more tech savvy like @Gorath_the_Elder knows more about this.
Graphics drivers are a little out of date. You should do a clean installation of the latest driver version.
1. Download the latest graphics drivers for Windows 7 64-bit here, but don't install yet.
2. Go to the Windows control panel and click 'uninstall a program'.
3. Uninstall all AMD programs.
4. Restart your PC.
5. Install the new drivers you just downloaded.
6. restart your PC again.
Hopefully this also gets rid of the DirectX error. If your graphics card supports it, you can switch to the Mantle API in the game's display settings. This may give you a performance boost.
Thanks that fixed the crashing but i still having stupid freeing problems :[
If your CPU really is a dual core processor, as the Dxdiag claims, then that explains the freezing. There's no fix that I know of other than upgrading to better hardware.
Nah have a Quadcore as i thought
Nah have a Quadcore as i thought..i think
Ok, I guess the dxdiag is wrong then.
Could you monitor your CPU usage while playing the game? If it reaches 100%, that could explain the hiccups. Monitoring temperatures may also be helpful.
