Game freezes at title screen (not black screen)

UPDATE: Viable work around at bottom of this post. The game will freeze at the main menu, either before of after "click to continue". If I let it sit there 14 times out of 15 it will freeze. The 1...

My game freezes too, the workarround does not work (Win 8.1)

I hope this will be fixed, right now I cant play it at all, I have had no luck starting an actual New game yet, only had luck entering Settings a few times ☹️ 

Feeling like wasted money on this at the moment.

My PC is a win8.1, 4gig mem, quadcore 2,66 Ghz, R9 270 GFX
