Game freezes at title screen (not black screen)

UPDATE: Viable work around at bottom of this post. The game will freeze at the main menu, either before of after "click to continue". If I let it sit there 14 times out of 15 it will freeze. The 1...

I just installed a AMD Catalyst beta driver from AMD and the game is now working fine. Version 14.11.2 Beta.

Relase notes state:
