Game Freezing During Saved File Load
My game freezes after I load any save file (load and continue). The freezing happens right after the card loading screen and it stays on the 2nd black screen. I tried reinstalling, running Origin on offline mode, using Repair, and run a compatibility mode. My PC isn't old either.
my specs are:
Intel core i7-4790k 4.00ghz
8GB Kingston Fury RAM
Geoforce GTX 960
My graphics card is also updated
and I just started playing the game so my save file is still very fresh. I just got my horse.
I just started a new save file and it loads fine, its just the first charecter that doesn't load.
@Carrot_Shover Unfortunately a save can sometimes get corrupted somehow, which is (one of several reasons) why it's always a good idea to maintain several saves for each character. Do you have any other saves for that character, and have you tried loading any of those instead? Do you, or have you, used any mods, trainers or cheat engine? The latter has been known to break characters, and it's possible that mods could cause issues if you're not careful.
If it's just happening with one character or one save file, it sounds like it's an issue with that file/character, not the whole game (as it will let you save and load other characters). Are all the DAI AppHang errors in your dxdiag from this issue?
