How do you close the command console which is summoned by "~"? I've got to use ALT-F4 to close the game to solve it. It's annoying to me in SP but very annoying to the entire squad in MP. Hitting "~" doesn't work.
I dont' recall needing to press "enter" before or after pressing the "~" key.
"~" opens it and pressing "~" again closes it....as I recall.
|=pipe is the key on my keyboard - but I am not able to check, and guess that I will be corrected briefly if I am wrong.
It's the same key you use to open it. Maybe you have to press enter first so it doesn't assume you're still typing.
I don't have any other soultion for closing it, but you can download a program called Autohotkey:

This program allows you to change the result of pressing keyboard keys. So you could make pressiing the "K" key return a "Y"
All you need to do is install the program and create and .AHK file with the following:

This will cause the ` key (the unshifted ~ key) to return the backslash which is unused by default in Dragon Age. Then you won't have any problems with accidentally pressing it.
