I have noticed when crafting that some armor comes with upgrade slots and others do not. Does anyone know if you can tell before crafting the armor if it has slots for arms and legs before doing so?
the only armors that do not have upgrade slots are the dragon aromor for the main player. and some specialty armors you get as loot or from merchants.
all crafted armor (by you) has upgrade slots with the exception of the dragon armors. -edit- (and some orlesian stuff)
however, to awnswer your question, more directly...

at this time, currently, no there is not.
armor only has two upgrade slots. btw.
paldrons and greaves.(arm and leg upgrades)
the hafts, and whatnot are for weapons.

I crafted and Orleasian something from schematic bought in Orlais and it didn't have upgrade slots
