Missing a file

Hey so i decided to play dragon age origins and dragon age 2 again, problem is i want to use the dev console in dragon age 2, in dragon age origins i could do this without any problems, but in dragon age 2 the first method does not work and by this i mean creating a shortcut properties then typing in enabledeveloperconsole, so the next method was to edit the launcher.xml but here is the major problem the file is not there.....i bought the game not not 2 hours ago downloaded installed went to the files dragon age data and the only file that is there is dragonage2config why isn't my launcher.xml file there? how do i get this file can someone give me answers please?

  • Yeah, they changed it in the August update to the Origin client, but you can still get there.

    1.  From the Origin "My Games" screen, right-click on DA2 and choose "Game Properties".

    2. In the "Command line arguments" textbox, put "-enabledeveloperconsole" (without the quotation marks, of course.) 😕mileywink:

(They also borked using the DragonAge2Launcher completely, but that's another matter...)

  • Hey thanks for the reply, I've tried this and i've also gone into key bindings and set console to ` but it still does not work, when i go in game and use ` it doesn't freeze the game i can still move about.

Not sure then.  Works fine for me with my EA/Origin installs of both DA2 and DAO/UE.  😕mileysurprised:
