Need to rebuild pc - Will my saves be ok?

Hi,

A quick question.

I need to rebuild my pc running Windows 10 Pro (x64 1709 Fall Creators Update) because of issues with Windows Update, and was wondering if the game will still work ok, and my saves will be intact post-rebuild. The game is installed on the same SSD as the Windows installation.

I plan to save a copy of my local saves in /My Documents/Bioware/MySaves anyway - but wanted to at least ask the question in case there's anything else I need to do.

As I understand it, as soon as I re-download the Origin client/game files and run the game, the cloud-sync should fire up and I should be good to go?

Many thanks

Mal.

  • Yes.  I know some people have problems with the cloud sync, but if you keep a copy of your local "saves" folder, you can put that back (in the same location) on your rebuilt machine and you'll be fine.  (Obviously be sure you've actually got the saves you want on your local machine first!)
