Had this problem until I switched to 'Windowed Fullscreen' in display options just for the heck of it. settings mustve been swapped. oh and just fyi i also recently updated the gfx card's driver to the latest one that was supposedly optimised to play da inquisition!

This actually fixed it for me. I have a 860m. I updated drivers a day or two ago (so i'm not sure if updating is required/neccesary).

I can run in full... after hours of fiddleing..but only after starting DAI with alt-enter and forcing task-manager on top, then take it to fullscreen in game..... But performance is terrible. Only just playable in low although my Geforce card recommend optimal settings ultra... Where find answer about this issue? Are they working on it? Will there be a patch? Some kind of answer would be nice...

which driver version are you using?

Latest drivers.... But this is rather embarrasing. Had a brand new computor on friday. Since my problem was exactly the same as many other I assumed it had to be software related. Seems I connected display to the internal graphics card! Now everything starts and runs totally smooth on ultra. No problems at all.
