Patch 3 Run toggle is broken

I hit the "walk" toggle and can't toggle it back to run, I had to reload my game... Hitting or holding shift, mounting up and sprinting didn't change it either.

I read the walk toggle is only broken if you applied the framerate fix. But I can't understand why they put a low framerate cap in cutscenes to begin with.

What's worse is that all crafted shields now have zero armor rating.

Yes, we are of course also looking into issues persisting since release. In your case I suspect the main challenge is currently the crashing frequency with your GPU? Mind posting a DxDiag? Ideally in another thread not to derail this one.

To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, please follow the steps below:

1. Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
2. You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
3. Type dxdiag in the text field
4. Click OK
5. If your computer has a 64-bit version of Windows, click the button Run 64-bit DXDIAG (see screenshot below)
6. If your computer has a 32-bit version of Windows, that button will not be available

7. Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
8. Save this text file to your Desktop if possible
9. Open the text file, select all the text inside (Ctrl + A) and copy it (Ctrl +C).
10. Go to http://hastebin.com/, paste the contents of your DXDiag inside (Ctrl+V) and click Save on the webpage (Ctrl+S).
11. Copy the link of the page in your post, along with a precise description of your issue.

So, the official postion if you have a high-end gaming PC is to run the game at a fixed 30 fps in order to walk?

Still wondering how you forgot to have walk enabled on PC versions in the first place, especially as how it works fine on consoles.

It's just the cutscenes that are capped at 30fps. Everything else runs fine. I think they had to put a framerate cap in place because all characters have 30 keyframes per second, meaning the cinematics would be sped up without the framerate cap. That's also why character animation was never smooth even with the 60fps fix. That tweak only increased the framerate of effects that didn't have animation keyframes, like smoke and rain.

About the walking: They forgot to include the keyboard hotkey, but walking was always in the PC version, as long as you used a controller.
