I'll repost this here.
My gilrfriend gifted DA:I for Christmas knowing that i have a new pc build for gaming.
i7-4790k 4.00Ghz
16Gb Ram
GTX 970 Asus Strix
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Multi fan (x6) sistem for keep case cooler.
Played all my Steam games on max settings with 60 fps and temperature on 60°C. The PC is new. Assembled in the last two weeks. No dirt. Fan works good. The temperature inside the case forever under 65°C.
Installing DA:I. First play the CPU temperature bumped to 86°C. VGA at 60°C. CPU at 86°C. What the hell? Reload and restart the sistem.
Second try.
Ten minutes of playing 92°C.
At 30 minutes PC freezes and crashes,
Tryed to change graphic settings. Low or Ultra hight nothing changes. Same overheating CPU. Always over 86 °C. The problem is only the CPU temperature. When i start the game at all settings the CPU overload and start overheating without no reason. The case is cold. The air from the motherboard is cold. Only the CPU is under massive stress.
Can't play the game because i have fear of damage at my new machine. Pc has no problem. The problem is inside the game.
Solution? I don't want to play a prepatched game (1.0.00.00) full of storyline bugs. Let's hope a huge fix is incoming. I'm an huge fan of Bioware games and i don't want to give back my girlfriend christmas present.
