Please help

Hello my issue is kinda long and random but im hoping someone can shed some light.

Recently i started playing DAI again on our PS5 US region psn. I bought the game back in 2017 from europe. Anyway i finished the game etc and decided to purchase all the dlc’s but i couldnt find them when i went on the game. Are dlc’s region locked?
thats my first question.

then because im insane and u know need me some dorian coz hes baby. I decided to get the US full game with all the dlcs which was on sale dont judge. Anyway now im wondering ummm can i load my saved data on this new version game??? Im logged in to EA and dragon keep. Is there a way to go about this? I kinda dont wanna play all over again etc.

when the game does the “connecting” when you start it, it gives me no option for a load. ;-; welp

please help and sorry for confusion.

thanks

  • I don't know on PS5 for sure, but on PC the DLCs have been removed from sale individually and are only available by purchasing the Game of the Year edition, which comes with the DLC.  So it is likely EA has done the same on the PS as well as the PC.

As to the save version...sorry no clue on PS5.  I know on PC the save location was the same so it just continued on without an issue.  It may be that the PS5 has them listed as two different games which means you could start a new game, make a save and then try and copy your old saves from one game to the other.  I don't own a PS5 so I don't even know if this is possible, as I don't know what kind of file format and moving is allowed......on PC it is pretty easy, so.....good luck.

  • Ahhh PC sounds so easy dude! It seems i might have to actually restart again on the PS5 yikes 😭

thank you for your input, i appreciate it.

@d1a146325cc925d5 Generally with PS, almost everything is region locked. The main issue you will have isn't the region lock. The issue you may run into is the save you use would give an error because of content.

    For example
You have everything but Black Emporium.
When you have the U.S. version, you load up a save
Once the servers register the save, it will say something like can't do it because of missing content

Owning all of it on both should not stop you from playing but Sony's region lock settings may prevent it even with owning the same content.

As for the saves, because it is a port, you can use a USB, This link should help you there.
