Have you checked to make sure there isn't any conflicting information in your Tapestry that would, like a romance, require Hawke to be male in order to have done?

Also, you'd have to start a new game in order for you to use the tapestry that has the female hawke. Figure I'd be Captain Obvious
And there should also be a time/date stamp near/where the import button should be so you can verify it is the correct world state when you access it via the game

I really wish I had known about this before I started my first playthrough. There are numerous things I needed to change. Sadly, those changes won't be available until I do a second playthrough.
- Anonymous11 years agoI did put in the tapestry that I romanced Miriam or whatever the elf Mage was named. It didn't say that was a problem. But if other posters are right, my tapestry choices for da2 aren't even in play. I just want a custom female hawke by any means now. Is one of the two head choices supposed to be female? For me they are both male and seem to have the same options. I'm not even seeing why there are two head choices

Bearded Hawke is male (Garrete), non-bearded Hawke is female (Marian).
In order to have a female Hawke, you'll likely need to make the changs in your Tapestry, save it, then re-export it. Then you'd have to start a brand new game. Have you tried saving the changed Tapestry as the Default version?
- Anonymous11 years agoI have. Basically now that I know I'd have to start a new game for the tapestry changes to apply, what I want to do is make a custom female hawke. I'm not seeing the option though. That's what I mean by two head choices. When you talkbto varric and select custom, there is no female option, but two seemingly identical head option choices, both male. What am I missing here?
