Profile Not Found: The requested player does not have any Dragon Age data uploaded.

I get a screen that shows a button for my user name and the message that I don't have any information uploaded?

    Hello everyone.

I have merged several threads about the error message "Profile Not Found: The requested player does not have any Dragon Age data uploaded."

This error message may appear when you have played Dragon Age II before installing and playing Dragon Age: Origins.

Dragon Age II creates a persona that is too long for Dragon Age: Origin to recognize. To get this issue resolved please contact an EA Game advisor to ask them to create a new "dragonage" persona for you.

To contact an EA Game advisor: (as per April 2013)

    • Go to https://help.ea.com/
    • Log in with your Origin account.
    • Click on "Contact us"
    • On the next page select the game you wish help with and click on "Find Solutions".
    • Chose the appropriate options for "Product", "Issue type", and "Platformand click on "Find Solutions".
    • On the following page select "I still need Help" to access the available Contact Methods (We recommend Live chat or Phone)

    UPDATE - 01/08/2013

Please see this message from Jeff Roussell regarding the "Profile not found" error for players who have not played Dragon Age II before playing Dragon Age: Origins:

An issue where people were getting the "Profile not found" error, when trying to sync/view their DA: O data has been fixed. Please try clicking the "sync my profile" link again and let me know if it works or if you are still having problems.

There is still an outstanding issue where if you played Dragon Age II before playing Dragon Age: Origins your profile still may not sync.

i am glad that many people are trying to solve this problem :D i was writing mails , trying live chat (but nobody conect), also writing here... well still no help for me

  • I recently discovered that running the game with the "-enabledeveloperconsole" flag was interfering with my character sync.  When I removed that setting from my desktop shortcut and Origin game properties syncing returned to normal.

Actually I thought it was a problem with launching form Origin, but when sync stopped working after I added the flag to my desktop shortcut I arrived at my current theory.  So far the theory stands : no sync when flag is on ; pefect sync when flag is off.

How exactly did you do that? Is the flag under the game files?

Edit: Nevermind, I found where it would be but it wasn't enabled anyways...

That's apparently the issue I'm facing now too.

Except rather than being given that reason I was told not to worry about the issue (we'll ignore that it's negatively impacting my gaming experience then, since I can't do one on the major things Bioware is known for) and that a patch will be released "within a few weeks".

So yea, kind of trivial when the fix seems to be right there, even more so that had I known about this bug sooner it could have been fixed in a tiny fraction of the time.
