This problem has been fixed here. At least if you're on PC (you didn't specify)
In general:
1: Switch to mouse and keyboard if you aren't using it already.
2: Make a save (a full save) before starting the fight.
3: Exit the game, and click "repair game" in Origin.
Doesn't work. Tried turning off Origin in game, tried making new save then repairing 3 times, nothing. I even tried going back to a earlier save (albeit only about 5 minutes earlier), still didn't work. 😕mileysad:

That fix didn't do anything for me either. I guess it must have helped some people though since it's considered 'solved'.

That actually DID work for me... so yay?

Tried it as well....didn't work....What now?
- Anonymous11 years agoHaving same problem please fix i cant continue playing
- Anonymous11 years agoWorked for me as well. Although I did also make sure not to touch the mouse once after I closed the second rift during the battle, only keyboard after that. Not sure what actually solved it but I got past.
Pretty darn big bug. While you might think that would mean it should have been cought, it's clearly not as widespread as it is severe, if it was there would be a lot more posts about it. - Anonymous11 years ago
ive tried above solution and it did nothing.
But what i did to advance is to press space in cinematics to skip all dialog and to get the skip frame in bottom left, when i skiped all , i ended up with the dialoge options after he kneels.
Hope it helps you aswell.
Ran into this bug yesterday. I'm playing with a keyboard/mouse, so I just quit the game, repaired in Origin, and loaded up the autosave just before the boss fight and it worked! Thanks for the solution, but still hoping this gets fixed asap.

None of the fixes mentioned here worked for me. What's next, EA?
